S.S. Lurne Cruises

But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof. (Romans 13:14)

The inhabitants of the isles of Lurne tell that many voyagers have been caught offering food to the great and vile sea monster, The-Flesh, hoping to catch a glimpse of him close at hand in order to satisfy their wayward curiosity. (Click sea monster icon in upper left corner for an introduction to this beast!) Some barely escape this foolish ploy, while others are never seen alive again. More often then not, those voyagers that perish are the ones who did not bother first to visit the City of Salvation and drink from the Fountain of Life. For the waters of salvation are the voyager's foremost protection from the beast, providing strength against his hypnotizing allurements.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit....For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. (Romans 8:1,5)

So aware of his deceitful snares are the inhabitants of the region, that they always wear a special set of spectacles called Spirit Minders, which keep their eyes away from his evil enticements. Many touring voyagers, however, find these spectacles to be cumbersome and very often not only leave off wearing them, but forget entirely even to keep them handy on their ventures. As a result, many casualties occur when The Flesh meets them unawares.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6a) Discretion shall preserve thee; understanding shall keep thee: (Proverbs 2:11)

In order to prevent more voyagers from succumbing to this ferocious beast, RoVoToC has begun coordinating educational cruises for visiting voyagers. Each cruise will cover a particular aspect of understanding or defeating the beast and the voyager should learn these life-saving lessons well. Care should be taken to remain attentive during cruise operation, however, as the beast is known to appear suddenly at the most unexpected moments!
