Captain Eval

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. (1 Peter 5:8-9)

Voyagers soon learn that their most formidable foe, Captain Eval, roams land and sea to make them his prey. (Click ship icon in upper left corner for Eval's dark history!) Because he has traversed these regions for millennia, this enemy knows well the terrain and can readily entrap the unwary. Those given to slothfulness, stubbornness, self-pity, or delusion, to pleasures, ingratitude or complacency; these he stealthily hunts down, ruthlessly mauls and drags away into deep caverns! Others he terrorizes, in hopes that they will succumb to him through fear itself, not wanting them to confront him in the only power that will undo him, that of King Eternal.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (2 Corinthians 10:3-5)

In order to beat back this deadly adversary, voyagers must be outfitted with special armor and taught extraordinary battle skills from the courts of King Eternal. For shields and swords and armor of men are no match for the dark powers of Eval. Only that equipment from the Eternal Courts can keep the voyager safe and enable him to stand against such onslaughts.
